Make a link that expires on a date
Upload a file to reshare, pick a date, and the share link (something like link.reshare.one/aB3xY9kLmn) turns off on its own when that day arrives. Anyone who opens it afterward gets a 404, exactly like a link you disabled by hand. Nothing is deleted, so you can switch it back on whenever you want.

On your dashboard, open the file settings and set the auto-disable date. That is the day it goes offline.

A check runs once a day and disables any link whose date has arrived. The file stays; only the public link stops responding.
What expiry means here
An expired link is disabled, not deleted. The page, the file, and any custom subdomain all return a 404, the same as a link you turned off manually. Your file and its version history stay in your account, so switching the link back on restores it right away.
If you want the file gone for good, delete the upload instead. Expiry is for links you want to go quiet on a date but keep around.
How the date works
Expiry is by day, in UTC. A link set to expire on the 15th goes offline when the daily check runs on the 15th, not at a precise hour. Setting a date does not disable the link early; it stays live until that day.
Re-enabling a link clears its date, so a link you bring back does not switch off again the next day. Set a new date if you want it to expire once more.
An expiring link vs an attachment or a transfer that dies
An email attachment never expires; it sits in inboxes forever, and an old version can resurface months later. A file-transfer link often dies on its own after a few days, ready or not. An expiring reshare link sits in between: it stays live, on the same URL, until the day you chose, then goes quiet.
How many links can expire
Every account can set an expiry date on one link for free. Pro accounts can schedule expiry on as many links as they like. The daily check and the auto-disable behavior are identical on both.
Can a link expire after a number of days?
You set a calendar date, not a countdown. To expire something in a week, pick the date one week out. The outcome is the same: the link stops working when that day arrives.
