A QR code for any file or page
Upload a file or HTML page to reshare and it gets a permanent link, like link.reshare.one/aB3xY9. Open the link's Sharing settings, choose QR code, and download it as a PNG for screens or an SVG for print. The code encodes the link, not the file, so when you upload a new version to the same link, every code you already printed opens the new version. Any file type up to 30 MB.
QR codes are part of Pro. Uploading and sharing the link itself is free.

How it works
- 01
Upload anything
A PDF, a slide deck, a Word document, a spreadsheet, an image, a video, or an HTML page. Sign in and it is live on a short link in seconds.
- 02
Open Sharing, then QR code
In the link's settings, the Sharing tab has a QR code action. The code is generated from the link on the spot, with nothing to configure.
- 03
Download PNG or SVG
PNG at 1024 pixels for slides, email, and screens. SVG for print, where it scales to any size without blur.
reshare or a QR generator pointed at a cloud link?
| reshare | QR generator + Drive or Dropbox link | |
|---|---|---|
| When the file changes | Upload the new version to the same link. Printed codes keep working. | A new file is a new link, so the code dies unless you pay for a dynamic QR. |
| What the scanner opens | The file in the browser, or your page as a page. No download, no account. | A cloud preview, sometimes behind a sign-in prompt. |
| Web pages | An HTML page gets a code like any other upload. | Needs separate hosting first. |
| Knowing whether anyone scanned it | Every open is counted next to the link. | No view count without a paid tracking tier. |
A plain generator is fine for a URL that never changes. The trouble is that files do.
What you can put behind a code
Every reshare link works the same way, so every link gets the same QR code action. A menu as a PDF, a conference poster as an image, a product manual as a Word document, a price list as a spreadsheet, a demo as a video, a landing page or dashboard as HTML. One code each, kept current by uploading the next version.
Why the code never goes stale
Most QR codes for files point at a Drive or Dropbox link. Replacing the file there creates a new file with a new link, and the printed code still points at the old one. Dynamic QR services fix this by inserting a redirect you rent monthly. reshare already is that redirect: the link is permanent, and the file behind it is what you update. Earlier versions stay in history if you need to roll back.
A permanent address, with your branding on top
The code encodes link.reshare.one followed by the link's slug, its permanent address. If you have claimed a custom subdomain for the link, a scan opens there, so the viewer sees your branded address. Renaming or releasing the subdomain never breaks a printed code, because the slug address keeps working for as long as the link exists.
Sizes that scan
For print, a code about one tenth of the expected scanning distance is the usual rule: 2 cm wide for a scan from 20 cm, 10 cm wide for a poster read from a metre away. The SVG download scales to any size without blur. Keep the white margin around the code; it is part of the standard and scanners rely on it. On screens, the 1024 pixel PNG covers slides and email.
